Our Team
Arturo J. Villanueva, Sr., P.E.
Founder & Chief Engineer
Early in his career, Art Sr. was responsible for designing several low- and medium-rise reinforced concrete buildings, including hospitals and factory buildings. He was responsible for thousands of acres of industrial development, including the 3,962-acre Bataan Export Processing Zone. He served as project director of the Philippine National Housing Authority, and as construction manager for the 222-acre Dagat-Dagatan Housing Project, saved $2.4M by redesigning the area’s grading and drainage.
As a top civil engineering recruit by the Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD), he designed and managed, reviewed, and advised on school site projects. He inspected earthquake damage to school structures after the 1994 Northridge Earthquake. He was best known, however, for his innovative solutions to numerous high-profile projects, including the "impossible" task of upgrading the pressure of the entire water distribution system of the 47-acre Ft. McArthur Educational Complex in San Pedro, California.
Art is a registered Professional Engineer (Civil) in California and in the Philippines. He obtained his BS in Civil Engineering from National University, R.P. He is a founding member of FASAE SoCal.
